| | As a number of priceless African art treasures start to disappear from museums around the world,
suspicion falls quickly on art thief, Carmen Sandiego. Now you can take the role of Cole
Gannon, a secret agent who has been given the task of capturing the infamous
Master Thief. The hunt will lead Cole from art museums in New York, to New Zealand's beaches and
on to the ruins of the ancient Incan empire, and this is just the beginning.
Cole is equipped with a telescopic rod that can be used both as a weapon and to leap
far or high with. It can even be used to inflate arrows at enemies. And Cole
need both, precision acrobatic skills and especially his intelligence, if Carmen Sandiego
must be caught. The game Carmen Sandiego combines 3rd person action with small puzzles and knowledge
about culture and history, but unlike its predecessor, this game focuses on entertainment
rather than teaching.
Background:
In 1985 a training program entitled "Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego?"
In addition to teaching it contained a great deal of entertainment in the form of detective puzzles
and small "pussels", the player who took around the world. The program was later
developed into three successful TV series and won nine Emmy Awards. | | |
