| | In a city plagued by crime and corruption, heroes are found on the wrong side og the law.
Anya Romanov is a sexy, high-tech thief; Louie Palmer is the voice in her ear - advisor,
confidant, friend. When an everyday job turns sour, they find themselves drawn into a web
of conspiracy that will shake the entire city to the ground.
The beginning...
Louie and Anya are hired by a mysterious client to steal a famous and pricious gem from the
crest of an historic Samurai Statue. The statue has been brought from Japan as the centre-piece
of a Japanese Treasures exhibit, amongst much media attention as part of Mayor Morgan's
show of commitment to the promotion of culture in Forge City. The theft is to take place the
night before the exhibition opens. The client pays up front in an unusual currency which seems
to have been deliberately chosen to peak Louie's interest… a case of advanced prototype next
generation wireless processor chips. Univailable on the commercial market, and probably more
advanced than any in use currently by the military. How can they refuse ?
Inside the museu,, it becomes apparent that Anya's movements are being shadowed by an
unidentified observer who is clearly more competent than the normal guards assigned to guard
the museum. The observer does not seem to be attempting to hinder Anya, so she proceeds whit
her mission. However, as she finally acquires the priceless gem from the statue… this observer
appears to deliberately trip the alarm. Anya escapes from the Museum pursued by a police
helicopter gunship. The silent observer is an woman known only as "Breeze"… | | |
